Celebrating 39 years in business!

TAPS Termite was started by a husband and wife team, John & Shirley Clark in 1969. John had many years of experience as a termite inspector and enough money to buy a small truck to perform inspections. Shirley typed the reports in the “office” which was located at the end of the kitchen in their home. In those days the reports were 7 page carbon snap-outs, typed on a manual typewriter.

As time passed the need for additional employees became evident and Tim Denner, one of the current owners was hired. Also their daughter, Heather was brought in to type reports and eventually ran the office until 1998.

In 1998 the company continued under new ownership of 2 longtime employees. Although a lot has changed over the years with modern technology, one thing remains the same. The values that John & Shirley instilled in their employees about honesty, customer service and standing behind our work is still alive and well at TAPS Termite.
