Of the numerous species of termites that exist, only three actually cause a lot of problems in North America, especially in the U.S. Termites threaten wooden structures because wood products and materials are their primary food. This is why they will build nests in areas near their food source, such as a forest or a house. Because these pests can cause so much damage, it is not uncommon to find news headlines and reports proclaiming that a house has been destroyed by termites.
The coming of spring is always a season to look forward to. In some cases, though, spring also means insects springing forth. There are many insects that go dormant during the winter season and who become active again during spring until the summer seasons.
Let’s face it, when people have problem with pests, they often think of the easiest possible reason to get out of their dilemma. Only a handful would resort into do-it-yourself methods to get rid of pests. The greater population would run to the experts-the termite control companies.
When it comes to home pests (not to mention your older brother), one of the primary creatures that would immediately come to people’s minds, when asked which is the most devastating, would have to be termites. Termites have long infested the human world and today, they still do.
